Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using CrawlForge. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms
Legal Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms", "Agreement") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and CrawlForge ("Company", "we", "us", or "our") regarding your use of the CrawlForge web scraping API and Model Context Protocol (MCP) server (collectively, the "Service").
Agreement by Use
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service in any manner, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service. Privacy Policy
Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Description of Service
What We Provide
- •RESTful API for programmatic access to web scraping tools
- •Model Context Protocol (MCP) server integration for AI applications
- •18 specialized scraping tools including fetch, extraction, analysis, and research capabilities
- •Credit-based usage system with tiered subscription plans
- •Dashboard interface for account management and usage monitoring
Service Availability (2.1)
While we strive to maintain 99.9% uptime, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with or without notice.
Credit System (2.2)
All API requests consume credits based on tool complexity, ranging from 1 credit (basic tools like fetch_url) to 10 credits (advanced tools like deep_research). Specific credit costs are documented in our Pricing page and API Reference. Pricing page and API Reference
3. User Accounts and Responsibilities
Account Registration (3.1)
To use the Service, you must create an account by providing accurate, current, and complete information. You represent and warrant that:
- •You are at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction
- •You have the legal capacity to enter into this Agreement
- •All registration information you submit is truthful and accurate
- •You will maintain the accuracy of such information
Account Security (3.2)
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including your password and API keys. You agree to:
- •Immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
- •Not share your API keys or account credentials with third parties
- •Use strong, unique passwords and enable two-factor authentication when available
- •Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
API Key Management (3.3)
API keys are cryptographically generated credentials that authenticate your requests. You must store API keys securely and never expose them in client-side code, public repositories, or unsecured locations. We are not liable for any unauthorized use resulting from compromised API keys.
Account Restrictions (3.4)
Each user may maintain only one free account. Multiple free accounts created by the same individual or entity for the purpose of obtaining additional free credits may be suspended or terminated without notice.
4. Acceptable Use Policy
General Compliance
You agree to use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and these Terms. The following activities are strictly prohibited:
Illegal or Unauthorized Scraping (4.1)
- •Scraping websites in violation of their Terms of Service or robots.txt directives
- •Accessing data you are not authorized to access under applicable law or agreement
- •Collecting personal data in violation of privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- •Scraping content protected by intellectual property rights without permission
- •Circumventing authentication, security measures, or access controls
Responsible Scraping Practices (4.2)
You agree to:
- •Respect robots.txt files and website Terms of Service
- •Implement reasonable rate limiting to avoid overloading target servers
- •Use appropriate User-Agent headers identifying your application
- •Cache responses when appropriate to minimize redundant requests
- •Comply with website-specific scraping guidelines and policies
Rate Limits and Fair Use (4.3)
The Service implements rate limits based on your subscription tier (60-600 requests per minute). Attempting to circumvent rate limits, engage in credential sharing to exceed limits, or otherwise abuse the fair use policy may result in account suspension.
Prohibited Activities (4.4)
- •Use the Service to scrape content for spam, phishing, or malicious purposes
- •Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without written authorization
- •Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
- •Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers/networks connected to the Service
- •Use automated systems (bots, scripts) to create accounts or consume credits fraudulently
- •Transmit viruses, malware, or other malicious code through the Service
- •Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
Compliance with Data Protection Laws (4.5)
When scraping websites that contain personal data, you are solely responsible for compliance with applicable data protection regulations, including but not limited to GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy laws. You must obtain necessary consents, provide required notices, and implement appropriate security measures.
5. Payment Terms
Subscription Plans (5.1)
CrawlForge offers multiple subscription tiers (Free, Hobby, Professional, Business) with varying credit allocations and features. Current pricing is available on our Pricing page. All fees are in U.S. Dollars unless otherwise stated. Pricing page
Billing and Renewals (5.2)
- •Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
- •Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
- •You authorize us to charge your payment method on each billing cycle
- •Unused credits roll over to the next month for active subscriptions
Credit Purchases (5.3)
When you exhaust your monthly credit allocation, you may purchase additional credits at the rates specified in your plan. Important details about credit purchases:
- •Non-refundable: Credit purchases (one-time and auto-recharge) are final and non-refundable once credits are added to your account
- •No expiration: Purchased credits do not expire while you maintain an active subscription
- •Carry forward: Unused purchased credits roll over month-to-month for active subscriptions
- •Forfeiture on cancellation: Purchased credits are forfeited if you cancel your subscription (see Section 5.7)
Auto-Recharge (5.4)
You may enable auto-recharge to automatically purchase credits when your balance drops below a specified threshold. You can configure or disable auto-recharge at any time through your account dashboard.
Payment Methods (5.5)
We accept major credit cards and debit cards through our payment processor, Stripe. By providing payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method and authorize us to charge all fees incurred.
Taxes (5.6)
All fees are exclusive of applicable federal, state, local, or foreign taxes. You are responsible for paying all taxes associated with your use of the Service. If we are required to collect taxes, they will be added to your invoice.
6. Refund Policy
Understanding Refund Eligibility (5.7)
CrawlForge offers a fair and transparent refund policy based on actual usage. Every user receives 1,000 FREE credits on signup to test our service risk-free before committing to a paid plan.
When Refunds ARE Granted
You are eligible for a full refund of your subscription payment if you cancel immediately and meet the following criteria:
- •Usage requirement: You have NOT consumed any paid credits (only used your free 1,000 credits or less)
- •No time limit: There is no time window restriction - eligibility is purely based on credit usage
- •Automatic processing: If eligible, your refund is issued automatically via Stripe when you cancel immediately
- •Immediate downgrade: Your account is downgraded to the Free plan immediately upon refund
When Refunds are NOT Granted
Refunds are not available in the following situations:
- •Used paid credits: If you have consumed more than 1,000 credits (meaning you used paid credits beyond your free allocation)
- •Credit purchases: One-time credit purchases are non-refundable once credits are added to your account
- •Auto-recharge purchases: Credits purchased via auto-recharge are non-refundable (same policy as one-time purchases)
- •Cancel at period end: If you choose to cancel at the end of your billing period (no refund, but you keep access until period ends)
Additional Refund Circumstances
We may also provide refunds at our sole discretion in the following circumstances:
- •Service outages: Pro-rated refund for outages exceeding 24 consecutive hours
- •Billing errors: Full refund of charges resulting from billing errors or system mistakes
- •Unauthorized charges: Full refund if you can demonstrate the charge was unauthorized
How to Request a Refund
For eligible refunds, simply cancel your subscription through your dashboard and select "Cancel Immediately with Refund" (if eligible). For billing errors or other refund requests, contact support@crawlforge.dev with your account details and explanation. Refunds are processed within 7-10 business days.
7. Intellectual Property Rights
CrawlForge Property (6.1)
The Service, including all software, technology, content, trademarks, logos, and documentation (excluding User Data), is the exclusive property of CrawlForge and its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights to the Service.
Limited License (6.2)
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your internal business purposes. This license terminates upon termination of your account or these Terms.
User Data Ownership (6.3)
You retain all ownership rights to data you submit to the Service and data extracted using the Service ("User Data"). However, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, process, and store User Data solely to provide and improve the Service.
Restrictions (6.4)
- •Copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service
- •Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels on the Service
- •Use the Service to develop competing products or services
- •Publicly disseminate performance benchmarks without written permission
Feedback (6.5)
If you provide suggestions, ideas, or feedback about the Service, you grant us an unrestricted, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free right to use such feedback for any purpose without compensation or attribution.
Third-Party Content (6.6)
Data scraped from third-party websites remains the property of those websites and their respective owners. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to scrape and use such data in compliance with applicable laws and website terms.
8. Limitation of Liability
Service Provided "As Is" (7.1)
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR COURSE OF PERFORMANCE.
No Guarantee of Results (7.2)
We do not warrant that the Service will meet your specific requirements, that scraped data will be accurate or complete, that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that defects will be corrected. You acknowledge that web scraping is inherently unpredictable and subject to third-party website changes.
Limitation of Liability (7.3)
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL CRAWLFORGE, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
Cap on Liability (7.4)
Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the total amount paid by you to CrawlForge in the 12 months preceding the claim; or (b) $100 USD.
Exceptions (7.5)
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. In such jurisdictions, the above limitations shall apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Indemnification (7.6)
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CrawlForge and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights; or (d) your violation of applicable laws or regulations.
Third-Party Services (7.7)
The Service may integrate with or rely on third-party services, APIs, or websites. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party services, and your use of such services is at your own risk.
9. Termination
Termination by You (8.1)
You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription through the dashboard or contacting support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will not receive refunds for unused time or credits except as specified in Section 5.7.
Termination by Us (8.2)
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to:
- •Violation of these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy
- •Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
- •Non-payment of fees
- •Prolonged inactivity (180+ days)
- •Requests by law enforcement or government agencies
Effect of Termination (8.3)
Upon termination:
- •Your right to access and use the Service immediately ceases
- •All outstanding fees become immediately due and payable
- •Unused credits are forfeited without refund (except as required by law)
- •We may delete your account data after 90 days, subject to legal retention requirements
Data Retrieval (8.4)
You are responsible for exporting your usage logs and any data stored with the Service before termination. After account deletion, we cannot recover your data.
Survival (8.5)
Sections relating to payment obligations, intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution survive termination of these Terms.
10. Governing Law and Disputes
Governing Law (9.1)
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Dispute Resolution (9.2)
In the event of any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, you agree to first contact us at support@crawlforge.dev to attempt to resolve the dispute informally within 30 days.
Arbitration Agreement (9.3)
If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, you agree that any dispute shall be resolved by binding arbitration conducted by a single arbitrator under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall take place in Delaware, and judgment on the arbitration award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction.
Class Action Waiver (9.4)
You agree that disputes must be brought on an individual basis only, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, consolidated, or representative proceeding. Class arbitrations, class actions, and representative actions are not permitted.
Exceptions (9.5)
Either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to prevent actual or threatened infringement, misappropriation, or violation of intellectual property rights.
11. General Provisions
Entire Agreement (10.1)
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms you agree to when using specific features of the Service, constitute the entire agreement between you and CrawlForge and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
Severability (10.2)
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
Waiver (10.3)
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorized representative.
Assignment (10.4)
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer these Terms without restriction. Any attempted assignment in violation of this section is void.
Force Majeure (10.5)
Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including acts of God, war, terrorism, labor disputes, or internet service failures.
Export Compliance (10.6)
The Service may be subject to U.S. export control laws. You agree to comply with all applicable export and re-export control laws and regulations. You may not use the Service if you are located in a country embargoed by the United States or if you are on the U.S. Treasury Department's list of Specially Designated Nationals.
Electronic Communications (10.7)
By using the Service, you consent to receive electronic communications from us, including emails about your account, billing, and service updates. You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications that we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.
